PHOTO FUN
You print your photos and they just don't look as good as you expected. How many of you have struggled photographing the chilly winter bliss? Do your photos have a not-so-pleasing tint or are they dark and shadowed?
Well take heart I have some great tips and tricks to help you capture the snowbirds and get some amazing winter photos that will help before spings has sprung.
Most often the common complaint is underexposed white which shows up as a dingy gray shade.
This main reason for this is light reflected backfrom the snowscapes it tricks the camera's automatic meter into underexposure. Try adding more light by using your flash, the flash will compensate for poor light making your whites whiter. See shade if taking pictures in direct sunlight, early morning or late afternoon or even overcast will give you the best exposure. Another trick you may try is having your subject face the sun.
So get on your warm clothes because spring is just around the corner and get those super shots you are wanting. Remember that the cold weather zaps your battery life so carry extra batteries with you while outside.
Photo Ideas: A red nose over a steaming cup of cocoa in front of crackling fireplace, smoke drifting from a chimney, icicles sparkling as they hang from a rooftop, or frost covered landscapes. Enjoy, because soon you won't have that to capture until winter comes again. Happy shooting Hot Shot.

Dear Friends,
The new year has brought with it a fresh start. This year is going to be different. I am going to make this my year to shine, my year to get all those things done that I have been putting off. So the first place to start was by reviewing my last years list.
So I began checking my resolutions list I made last year. I was checking off the ones I accomplished and decided to add my new ones for 2009. But guess what I noticed. I noticed that there wasn't much that was getting checked off and my 2009 list was the same as 2008. My list consisted of all the traditional resolutions such as eat better, exercise more, lose weight, get more rest, get organized, blah, blah, blah.
This got me think that I should combine last years with this year and add a few non-traditional ones to the list. I have decided to share my list with all of you. So here it is. My List::
1) Show more gratitude!
2) Love deeper!
3) Laugh louder and more often!
4) Take things less personally.
5) Keep things simple, making more time for FUN.
6) Finish what I start.
7) Go barefoot earlier in the spring.
8) Kick up more leaves in the fall.
9) Get organized.
10) Eat better and begin a manageable exercise routine.
Sending you great inspiration!
Katie
